Position Title: Drum Line Instructor

Position Description: Percussion Instructor for Southwest ISD Schools
Southwest ISD is seeking an energetic, dynamic, and hard-working individual to teach high school and middle school Percussion students for the 2018-2019 school year. The successful applicant will teach intermediate to advanced students in drum line techniques for Fall marching band, TMEA audition materials, concert percussion techniques, UIL Solo and Ensemble, Fiesta activities, and Drum Line auditions along with fundamentals of musicianship and technique for students in grades 6-12. Teaching fundamentals of performance and musicianship are a must. The position is flexible for a maximum of 20 or 40 hours per week, dependent on need. A positive attitude and the ability to motivate students to practice and improve their percussion skills is vitally important. The ability to integrate the drum line with the overall marching presentation will be a component of the position, as well as strong, organizational skills throughout the year are a must.
