Position Title: Assistant Director
Academic Level: High School
District/School/Community: Andrews
Location: Andrews, Texas
Position Description: Andrews HS and MS Bands are very competitive! Both HS Bands earned Sweepstakes this year. Both MS Bands earned a 1 in Concert and 2 in SR. We are really looking for a percussionist to be in charge of the HS Drumline and oversee all aspects of the percussion from high school to middle school.

Our administration is VERY supportive! This position is a 4th director position being added for the 2018-2019 school year because of the band's growth. We currently have 165-170 signed up for HS Band next year. We have around 150-160 divided into 2 7-8th grade bands. We have 149 Beginners signed up for next year.

Responsibilities at HS will include: assist with marching band (in charge of drumline) in Fall, assist with 2 concert bands in Spring, help with all HS sectionals, etc. We team teach almost everything.

Responsibilities at MS will include: assist with MS Symphonic Band, direct MS Concert Band, teach beginner percussion and one beginner brass class, teach after-school sectionals in Jan-Feb, and assist MS Head Director.

This year, our Color Guard began competing in Winter Guard. Next year, I'd like our HS Drumline to begin competing in Indoor Percussion. Having a percussionist on staff will help us facilitate that area of growth in our program.
